With its strong commitment to culture, Be Casa has joined forces with the National Museum of Decorative Arts, a state institution dependent on the Ministry of Culture, to support its new exhibition, “Gianni Versace; Facing the Mirror”. This exhibition delves into the firm’s DNA through the lens of Decorative Arts and will be open for viewing until October 6th.

“One of our priorities is to promote culture. At Be Casa, we care about the well-being of our residents regardless of how long they stay. We offer them the warmth of a home, focus on their personal growth through various cultural activities, and facilitate networking with others. We are proud to support the National Museum of Decorative Arts in this exhibition and to do our bit to enhance the cultural potential of Madrid for locals and visitors from other parts of Spain and other countries, whether for work, leisure or residence”, says Marino Laso, Senior Marketing Officer at Greystar.

Twenty-seven years after the Italian fashion designer’s death, the Madrid institution, with the support of Be Casa, is paying tribute to Gianni Versace through five sections that analyse the early years of the Italian designer’s haute couture line, which laid the foundations for what would later be known as the “Versace Style”. Almost two dozen of the Italian’s most iconic designs grace the halls of the museum alongside creations by other renowned designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent or Hubert de Givenchy to provide the context in which the Calabrian designer’s work evolved. Furthermore, his creations interact with other items in the museum in an attempt to trace the source of the creator’s inspiration. As visitors complete their journey through the items that inspired Versace, they can enjoy iconic pieces, such as the Red and Blue chair by Gerrit Rietveld. They can also discover lesser-known pieces, like a Chinese ceremonial headdress that has rarely been on display since it arrived in Spain in the 18th century. The exhibition will not only reveal the universe of a couturier who shaped an era but will also lead us on a journey through the history of Decorative Arts and design, allowing us to appreciate the collections of an institution of international renown.

Be Casa’s commitment to culture is part of its Social Responsibility policy, which also actively contributes to sustainability, sport, and health. Committed to the belief that living mindfully can improve the world, Be Casa prioritises understanding the needs and circumstances of people and our planet. It considers taking care of the world around us an obligation. That is why all its facilities are environmentally friendly and BREEAM certified. It also supports local entities that promote health and sport from an early age by sponsoring the Rivas Hockey Club and the Unión Deportiva San Sebastián de los Reyes youth team.
